Circumnavigating Australia in a truck using only electricity in 2024. Jon Edwards is driving a Hyundai Mighty commercial electric truck using only chargers and power outlets available to the public to circumnavigate Australia, visiting every capital city, a distance of 13,600Km.    This is the first time this has bene done in commercial truck. No liquid fossil fuels or generators will be used, rather an onboard battery to self-charge on some stretches where there are no high-speed chargers.  Departing Friday 5th September 2024 in Perth and arriving in Whyalla Saturday 5th October 2024. Finishing on Friday the 11thof October back in Perth. The decarbonisation of transport is vital to health and wellbeing of our four legged companions. It ensures a sustainable environment and removes the toxic particulates generated by burning fossil fuels which can cause lung, immune and heart disease.  This challenge demonstrates that it is feasible to decarbonise our transport industry, a vital step on the path to zero emissions.
